Care & Maintenance

As an Official Dealer of Diamond Surfaces, we are proud to offer Diamond Quartz™ — a stunning surface that blends the timeless beauty of natural stone with the exceptional durability of man-made materials. Designed for interior countertop applications, Diamond Quartz™ offers the best of both worlds with minimal care and maintenance required.

Routine Care & Handling Spills

Diamond Quartz™ makes everyday life easier with simple cleaning routines. For regular spills, just wipe the surface immediately using a damp cloth or paper towel with a small amount of mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth for best results.

For more stubborn or dried spills, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad along with mild soap or a stone-safe cleaner. Sticky materials like food, gum, or even dried paint can be gently scraped away using a plastic putty knife—never use sharp metal objects to avoid damaging the surface.

Special Care for Natural (Honed) Finishes

While polished finishes are the easiest to maintain, natural or honed finishes may show grease, fingerprints, or watermarks a bit more easily. Don’t worry! These marks are easily cleaned using non-abrasive cleaning products. A little extra attention will keep your honed surfaces looking beautiful.

Protecting Against Heat

Although Diamond Quartz™ is highly durable, direct heat can damage the surface. Avoid placing hot pots, pans, crockpots, toaster ovens, or other hot appliances directly on your countertops. Always use trivets or hot pads to protect the material and maintain its gorgeous appearance.

Avoiding Excessive Force

Quartz is one of the hardest materials found in nature, but even Diamond Quartz™ isn’t indestructible. We recommend always using a cutting board rather than cutting directly on your countertops. Be cautious when handling heavy objects—an abrupt or forceful impact can lead to scratches, chips, or cracks.

Pro Tip: Incorporating an edge detail with at least a 1/8” pencil round radius can help minimize the risk of edge chipping, especially in high-traffic areas. Inside corners should have a minimum 3/8” radius to further strengthen vulnerable spots.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

To keep your Diamond Quartz™ countertops looking their best, steer clear of harsh cleaners. Avoid products that are highly abrasive, alkaline, or chemical-heavy, including bleach, paint thinners, oven cleaners, acetone, and highly alkaline substances (pH over 8). If such substances accidentally come in contact with your countertops, immediately rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.

Exposure to Sunlight

Long-term exposure to direct sunlight may cause discoloration. We recommend avoiding installations where only part of the countertop will be exposed to sunlight, as uneven fading could occur over time.

Handling Soft Metals

Dragging soft metals across Diamond Quartz™ surfaces can leave marks. If this happens, products like NanoScrub by AquaMix paired with a non-abrasive pad can effectively remove the markings without harming your countertop.

Warranty Information

Diamond Quartz™ products are protected by a limited warranty! To ensure coverage, all products must be registered within thirty (30) days of purchase. For registration and warranty questions, contact Diamond Quartz™ directly at claims@thediamondsurfaces.com.
